During these auditions, an invigilator (مُثْبِت الأسماء or مُثَبِّت السَّمَاع or كاتِب الطِّباق) was appointed to meticulously record the names of attendees and absentees, along with any relevant information, in a register (طَبَقَة plural = طِبَاق).
